Called the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), they set targets for reducing hunger, disease, and poverty while promoting gender equality, health, education, and environmental sustainability. The MDGs provide a positive framework for creating a healthier, more prosperous world. RESULTS’ global poverty campaigns are integral to fulfilling the MDGs. Global Poverty Project an Opportunity for RESULTSRESULTS Australia has been working with the Global Poverty Project (GPP) to identify new activists, action takers, and collaborators. Now GPP is in the US to inspire people to do something about global poverty. RESULTS should be there to turn their newly-found inspiration into action. FY2012 Appropriations RoundupDuring a difficult appropriations year, RESULTS grassroots activists worked hard to maintain U.S. funding levels for poverty-focused foreign aid for global health, education, and microfinance, along with Head Start and child care.
